This was the time I woke up today. Even though I don’t have school but I need go to church early. I dread to wake up if I need to go to school but noooooooooooo. Playing for worship today! With Amanda and Ian, the other musicians. It is really awesome because I played my first ever chord base song; meaning is no beansprouts (notes) for me to practice but purely chords only. NEVER underestimate Am4anda. She is really superb. Why? She is able to play really well with like learning the song in one day and can play fluently the next day. A stands for awesome amanda!
Really somehow disappointed in myself because I still make mistakes when playing. Haizzz….
After service, we had a mission talk about the foreign workers. Changed my perspective. [Refer to the pervious post.]
Then YOUTH GAMES!
Amanda. Elvira and me went to change we were Green.Blue.Yellow. I wore my ‘4e5 loves me’ tee shirt.
Call me dumb or stupid. Forgetfulness caused me to pain. Of all things, I have to forget my socks.L Now I am like limping my way home and around. Have one HUGE blister on my right big toe. Damm painful. I also realize the importance of a good sports shoe. Personally, I hate sports shoe. Don’t know why but just do not like it. Now I think it is time to invest in a good sports shoe to stay sporty!
The event started early with badminton. Playing with pros is a breeze. I practically did not move throughout the warm up session as I played with Kester and Joel, the really good at badminton people. They are good! But sad I did not get to play much. I manage to play badminton with mediocre people, which is pretty fun as we laugh at each other and cheer on each other. I doesn’t matter who win but to have fun!
Then the best and memorable part is………..captain’s ball! It is awesome as the whole group of youths plays together. The first match, I got a shock at how rough the guys can get. So I gotta take a break and do be the catcher. Catcher is always the position that I was assigned. My team was losing initially, but with my long hands and me, victory is mine. Remembered that I got off a bad start as a catcher, as I missed and nearly fall off the chair but I squat on the chair and the next moment the ball was headed towards my face. Too bad it did not disfigure my face- still pretty. But it certainly filled the hall with laughter.
The second match, I had to sweat and ‘resigned’ my position as catcher. I was on the floor playing. Remembered trying to block and obtain the ball from Kester but I tripped him and hit him with my long hands and legs. Oopps. Sorry kester. Can’t help that I have the long limps. Then I had to leave as it was 4:30pm, need rush home to go to my a-ma jia, and the second match would end after two balls, Desperate, I became the catcher again as to end the game quickly, since Amanda and her brother went home after the first, and there was no one to sub in. Yupps, caught the last two goals for my team. However, the last goal end off with a bang. As Ian was defender for the opponent’s team, and he jumped and twisted his foot upon landing. Ouch! Really sorry. I had to leave quickly. Thank God that he is alright. ^^
Sadded that Yihui and the rest could not make it to join me on this amazing and awesome day.
I am an amazing catcher but if boys were like the balls in the game, I would be a winner. But real like nah! To find someone who will look beyond my height would be a mission impossible. Woah that is really far-fetched. I believe that God have that one guy in the future for me. Currently not desperate for guys but for As. FYI: If anyone have photos for the youth games, send me!!
