To commemorate this special day, we watched 2012. We as in Phyllis, Meihui, Felicia, Siying, Yihui and me!
Personally, I do not like to watch this kind of “heavy” movies. For Phyllis, I don’t mind.
Anyway, I love the graphics. The way that the buildings and tsunami and everything looked so real and it is just awesome.
To me, the end of the world really means nothing to me.
IT is not that I do not believe that there will come a time where the world degenerates and the end times.
In fact, like Abigail said, “The end is nearer then yesterday.”
I do believe that the end of the world will come, and that day will be the judgment day where God calls all his children back home.
I do not dread that day to come but I am filled with anticipation.
Can you imagine being in heaven? It is really beyond comprehension.
During the film, what bothered me was that why are people like scrambling to save their lives when life on earth is miserable.
There are people in this world who commit suicide.
Anyway, I feel that the ending of the show was a total copyright from the Bible- Noah’s ark. I think it serves as a great platform for me share more about my belief. Many people fear death because they do not know what comes after death, but for me, a Christian, I know what comes after death-eternal life- and it is something worth dying for.
After the movie, I headed down to Bugis - Arab Street. I need to get some ribbons for prom.
The auntie there was very hostile and she gives me the feeling that she doesn’t want me there.
Over there, I am so unsure on which colour to choose. In the end, pink was chosen as to me, pink is like THE safest colour one can pick.
Siying was there saying that I should not have the ribbons as she feels that I am like underestimating my dress and making it too complicated.
Well, I do agree with her partially. However, I am pretty sure that my standard of gorgeous is not the same as her.
So lesson learnt is friend’s opinion is important but don’t let the opinion be in-charge of what you think is nice and beautiful. As the saying goes, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
