Today is the day that I had been looking forward.
PROM NIGHT!
7.00AM
This was the time I woke. I wanted to sleep for a while more but I was so excited that once awake I cannot go back to sleep.
So since I had the luxury of time, I seize the time to attempt to put on my contact lenses. The first time I tried it on, which was yesterday, I took a total of 40minutes to put on both the left and right contact lenses.
Today, I made a HUGE improvement.
20minutes instead!
WOW!
I am so amazed. I am made for great things. Haha.
Then I headed down to Yihui’s house.
I did not know that her mom was a beautician!
I was really fortunate to have gone to her house to prepare.
Her mom helped me with my make-up.
She is really good. My face was like flawless when I put on make-up.
The wonders of it! I picked up a few tips from YiHui’s mother and now I can do make-up on my own….hopefully.

It was raining in the afternoon, making movement from place to place so difficult and wet! However, the rain sure did not dampen the mood!
When I reach Meritus Mandarin Hotel, I was so excited as the place was really grand and it is the first time I am at a 5-star hotel in Singapore!
All the people who attended the prom looked awesome, gorgeous and handsome.
I meant if you compare them from dressing in school uniform to the way they dress for the prom.
I could see a lot of effort put in for the outfit, especially the hair.
Well, I did not do anything thing with my hair even though I was offered by Yihui’s mom.
It is because I wanted my hair to have the natural curl and everything.
I was taken aback when I saw those people whom I thought that they would dress not so nice, to turn out pretty amazing.
That is why one cannot judge the book by its cover.
Guess what the door-gift was?
An earpiece. How cool is that? I am being sarcastic. Having said that was it was way much better then the previous 2 years prom door-gift, I know because I was serving as a helper since I was a student councilor then.

The dinner buffet was awesome and better then expected for a total fee of $60. The friends sitting on the same as me, table 17, agreed to each individual to take a share of 10 people per dish. Well, this idea did worked! AS there were no leftovers as everything is being shared and we do not need to queue individually, which took a long time. This is what I call team spirit.

Dessert-cute and classy
There was a couple that was dressed in white; the guy was wearing in white tuxedo while the girl was wearing a long tube dress. In their presence, we (my friends in the same table) felt that we weren’t attending prom night but a wedding dinner. The MC for the prom stated the obvious when the guy went up on stage to play a game.
The atmosphere initially was really great. However, as the time pass, it gets very boring. Well, it is not that the game played was boring or lame; in fact it is the game that was played were pretty interesting. The problem was the games only involve a few tables and not a mass activity. So it was like sitting in front of the television watching a school-made reality show.
The magic show was pretty awesome. No other comments as it is some trick that I will never know how to do so I will take it as it is and forget about it later. I remembered seeing some teachers looking kind of dumb when the magician did a mass activity with everyone. Some illusion thing that some teachers cannot get over the fact that they are unable to do what the magician could do so they kept on repeating the steps given earlier.
When the program ended, I felt that I hadn’t played enough. So kept on taking photos until my dad came.

Thank God that my friends reached their homes safely as my dad was really kind to send 4 of them back.
At home, I bathe and felt so refreshed. Though my eyelids were heavy, I stayed up to 2am the next morning watching ‘Night at the museum’.
It was really an exciting process, getting the dress and others then the day itself then the end. Disappointingly, I wasn’t able to have my wish granted. At least one person to say i looked good.^^
Now, time to get back to reality. I will sure miss the opportunity to dress up and put on make up and everything.
I was really lucky that I was talked into attending the prom.
