Youth camp '09: DAY2 Friday, December 11, 2009 4:41 PM
On the second day (11/12), early in the morning after breakfast and devotion, we headed to East Coast Park to build sandcastle.I do not know how to build sandcastles.
I only know how to build a pile of sand.
So it could pose a challenge.
On the other hand, it sounds interesting and I really look forward to go to East Coast Park as I missed the chance to cycle with my schoolmates at East Coast Park in November.
I was initially suppose to collect water but as the hands of the clock tick, I found myself helping to build the watch towers and others structure of the sandcastle. It is really fun to build the sandcastle!
Though I had sand all over my hands and legs plus it is wet sand making me quite dirty at the end, but I realize my skin felt smoother.^^
In the end of the competition, wait wait.In the end, it was no longer a competition (to me) as we joined all the four sandcastles done by all four groups. We break down the walls and build bridges to connect one castle from another. When we were all done and ready to set off, I saw a few people getting a shot with the sandcastles we build. Haha.

After lunch, we had to play the game food craze. I was pretty excited as I am fond of games that have to travel around, something like amazing race.
Yeah, I was really impressed with the way my group worked as they are really a bunch of smarty pants (excluding me) and also we did a lot of planning. We brisk walking throughout the whole game and could actually complete the same number of task as those who run.
Yeah, like a saying goes “Fail to plan is to plan to fail”. Hey! I am getting better at this saying stuff.
The downside of this game is the food; it is really too much food (to me) that we had to consume.
This resulted in having no appetite during dinner. Even though I took the minimum amount of food, I could not finish and feel stuffed.

Well, the game food craze did not affect one member of my group.
I should say he is not a member but a facilitator. He had to join another group for the game as the group has a lot of members that are quite young and so the proportion to the older ones is kind of out, resulting in a harder time to manage the group.
Poor Elvira!
As Elvira was the group leader, anyway she did a great job in leading the group.
So he was there to help. Ya, now back to my point. I remembered him saying that he did most of the eating and also mentioned that that group kept on running which was a challenge to him. You know it is difficult to run then eat then run again, can get side pains easily. However, when had dinner, he looked fine to me and could eat a da pau and dinner.
This guy is amazing when it comes to food, a gift of eating I guess. He is also brings a smile to everyones faces, funny guy.^^

Oh, I got a present from my angel. Well, it is actually a game ‘Angel-mortal game’ where one person is someone’s angel and the angel is supposed to give stuff to encourage the mortal, something along that line. I got a pillow. I felt that my my angel was going the expense to get so much stuff for me and do feel bad accepting the gift.
At the same time, I also feel very mean as I only had a biscuit for my mortal.
So I make it a point to write, hopefully make up for the very little present I gave.
Before the camp, I thought I would get a girl as my mortal so I brought heart-shaped cards. However, it turned out to be otherwise. Opps! So I avoided giving pink colour. Haiz, so pai say. Hopefully I do not send any wrong messages.
My mortal is a nice guy, I have to agree with Elvira.

At night, we had night games. I do not fancy night games as I am afraid of the dark. So I volunteered to hold the bowl filled with water that had a candle floating on top. After the first time I accidentally extinguish the flame due to pure lack of carefulness, I tried my best to make sure that the flame carries on burning, as it is the source of light. Just like Jesus is the light of the world. So it reminded me that the darkness on earth is really not dark in God’s eyes, and He is watching over me. Thank God!
