YOUTH CAMP ECHooooo Monday, December 28, 2009 11:47 PM
I woke up unwillingly.
It was only 9am but I had to wake up.
Not because I am rushing off to somewhere in the morning nor it is because my mother woke me.
How do you like to have the sun shining right smack in you face in the morning?
Well, that happened to me this very morning. The truth is it is not the first time the sun is actually my alarm clock.
The heat and light can be quite intense, that is the irritating ringing sound of the alarm clock. However, the sun cannot be turned off and so the only thing to do is to wake up.
God indeed has a really creative ways to wake me up. Though I still do not know why but it is the bigger picture that I cannot see.

Okay enough on how I wake up this morning.
Today, my initial plans were to go and catch “Alvin and the chipmunks” with my cousins then to the youth camp echo.
However, the cinema was jam packed with people and the tickets was sold out!
Jeanette is really one smart girl; she went to the other Cathy cinema in Ang mo kio.
I went to the one in AMK hub.

Well, even though the plan to watch the movie did not happen, I still manage to spend some cousin bonding time.
When was the last time you hang out with your cousins?
I remembered that when I was young, I used to play with my cousins every now and then.
But now it is like distant people.
It is good that I still get to see them every Sunday when I visit my grandma but we seldom talk. So, where was I, Oh! Cousin bonding time.
Yes, did just that even though we did not catch the movie.
I got a VCD in AMK hub at the price of 6.95 bucks. It is pretty cheap for a show that is recent—Bedtime stories.
I can lend you if you ask. ^^

My cousin had to leave at 3 plus. So I waited in the Bishan library until 5plus and headed for the camp echo.
In the library, I started reading a book given to me for Christmas about missionary.
I remember promising that I will go out in the field to do missionary work for a few years this year during the mission festival.
Well, up to now, I never did regretted making that choice but quite unsure on how to proceed on. David and Debbie walker had been so kind to give me a book to guide me. That was the book I read during the wait to 5pm, I am half way done.
It is a good book.

During Youth camp echo, we played games.
Seriously, I do not fancy games that require the blindfold.
I mean not that the game is bad but I don’t like the feeling of insecurity.

Looks like sight is something that I depend a lot on.
On the other hand, I like to watched the people being blindfolded and doing out the task—especially the one where the participants had to taste the different sauces.
Now I know that some can eat pasta with sweet sauce and soy sauce.
You never know it might become the “in” dish in the future.

Then there was the sports game, but it is not really vigorous. I feel really dumb when the easier method was told. I mean people can be quite stupid at times. That is why we need the book of Proverbs, so it will prevent me (and others too) from being really dumb and do stupid things in our life.

After dinner we played the clapping game where one go “Mich 1/2/3/4..”.
The one that Yong Cai practiced really hard at home.
Well, it is proven that practice makes prefect.
He sure did not embarrass himself this time round and did surprisingly well.
My petite friend is forever caught up in her books.

She was reading during dinner but I made her talk to me instead and she did join the game. I wonder if she had finish reading the bible? Well, I guilty of not doing it. SO that will be a New Year resolution.

The camp echo ended with a sharing.
Unfortunately, there were only three who shared.
I thought the leaders of each group would like share.
I mean like confirm must do. It could be a suggestion to improve.
The camp echo would also be better if we could gather in our groups and review on the plans they made during the last sermon during the camp.
Oh, I forget to do follow-up.
Okay, then that will be what I’ll do to prevent me from rotting for the next few days.
