Open house + Movie Tuesday, January 12, 2010 10:21 PM
Today I went to Nanyang's Open house. When we entered the Junior college building, Felicia’s first statement was "NYJC 1, AJC zero".
Haha, she meant that Nan Yang JC have a much much nicer building then Anderson. That I will have to agree with Felicia.
The building is really new and really nice.
Our very own band seniors greeted us!!! Aww… kind of miss them.
By the way, one of our band seniors dresses up as a Japanese Anime character.
Personally, I am pretty scared of people in mascot, like Barney that kind, not on TV but go up to you and shake hands. So I am not a huge fan of cosplay. However, it is not that scary when you know that it is a friend of yours.
The place really huge!
One thing that I learnt was the chat sessions was surprisingly useful. So when you go for open house, go for the interactive session so that you can find out more and widen your horizon.

Anyway, after the open house both Meihui and Phyllis had to rush off to their respective work place.
So Felicia and I decided to go catch a movie, Sherlock homes.
Initially, we went to AMK hub as I like the Cathy cinema there. However the earliest timing for the movie was 5pm. So we went to Causeway point to catch the movie there instead because in CWP, the time to reach home will be earlier.
Both of us loiter around Causeway point, and when we were in front of the Gelare outlet, I questioned Felicia, “Today what day?”
She replied, “Tuesday.”
Immediately, I smiled. It is because on Tuesday the waffle price is halved. I remembered my friends and I have being eyeing on that half price waffle for a long time, since sec 2 when we first have our ice cream from Gelare.
Felicia and I went into the outlet and indulge in the costly waffle with ice cream.
Damm, it was worth the money.
However, we waited for nearly half an hour for it. Both of us were rather irritated as the staff took a long time to prepare but at the same time excited as it was our second time eating ice cream from there and the first time eating Gelare’s waffle.
After the ice cream, we went to the cinema to catch our long-awaited movie.
I should say the movie is very slick and awesome!
What I love about the movie is how Sherlock Homes himself was able to solve the case with only just using his five senses and ofcourse the background knowledge. The movie also showed how Sherlock Homes manage to prove events, known to be magic, logically.
The best part was the humor.
Nothing like a good laugh.
Though the theater was extremely cold, as I did not bring a jacket, and sitting down for a straight two hours after an ice cream treat was not an ideal thing to do, I enjoyed myself.

Love
