What happens when you lack water? You get sick. That is what happened to me. Well, a costly mistake for forgetting to bring my water bottle. I shopped with Amanda and Abigail on 20th Jan, which is yesterday, and felt really cold initially when we ended our shopping spree. God is truly awesome and knows how to take care of me. Why do I say that? Well, on the way home, I felt real sick already. To add to this torture, the time I headed home, from Orchard, was the time where the workforce was all ready to go home—5.30pm. So squeezing would add more torture. So I kept on praying that I would find a seat and the train to be not so packed like a tin of sardines. Haha, this reminds me of what I would write in my compo during my primary school days. Surprisingly, the train I took was rather empty and I got a seat all the way home. As due to the arriving train to Jurong East via the North-south line terminates it’s service at Yishun and I was rather desperate to go home, I took the east-west line instead. So in case, you do not travel via the MRT regularly and have the privilege to be transported by the car, let me plot the route I use to get home. I first went down to city hall and there I change train to the East-West line. From there I headed to Jurong East, then at Jurong East MRT station, I then change back to the North-South line. From there, after two stops, I am back home—Bukit Gombak. Though there were quite a lot of people who boarded the train, I manage to find a seat on train that travel via the North-South line towards Marina Bay and the train on the east-west line was pretty empty. Having said that, I was still pretty worried about having to change back to the North-South Line as the train there is always so packed! Let alone it was the time where the majority of the Singapore population is heading back home from work! However, God did hear my prayers and definitely took care of me. When I arrived at Jurong East MRT station, the incoming train terminates at Yew tee. So majority of the passengers did not board that train, so an empty train ride home. Awesome right? During the trip home, I was like shivering. You know Jesse McCartney—Body Language. It was definitely the song to represent what happen to me then. My bones were knocking against each other and my fats were wobbling. That’s some body language. Haha. Amazing, I could actually still tell a joke while being sick. When I got home, I went straight to bed. I had to cover myself with my blanket, as I was cold. However, as time pass, I felt really hot and my head was seriously heated up. With that amount of heat that my body was producing I could say that if you convert the heat to electricity, you could use the electricity to run the Singapore Flyer for maybe an hour. 39 degrees. Now I know how it feels like to be HOT! Haha When I woke up this morning, I was like in a pool of sweat. But it is a good sign as when you sweat you release latent heat of vapourisation and therefore effectively cooling the body. I remember commenting that fever could like fry my brain. Don’t worry, my brain is not cooked yet maybe just medium rare. That explains the jokes. Went to the doctor. Now feel better. However, the truth is I wasn’t able to go to my class chalet. Sadded. When you are sick, you feel and look horrible. Now not that sickly.
